TELEMUNDO – NEW YORK AND MIAMI
Mauricio Gerson was one of the pioneers in the development of Telemundo Network. After 8 years working for PBS in New Jersey Network he was hired to work as the Director of Programming for the national headquarters which was based in New York City. After 5 years he was moved to Miami where the new headquarters of Telemundo was to be located in South Florida where he developed new programming initiatives for the network and dealt with local programming in the rapidly growing Spanish television Network. He covered the Republican Primariy for Vice President George H W Bush in New Orleans and the Democratic primary in Atlanta for Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis in 1988.
