In 1985 I received an EMMY Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for “Excellence in Journalism – Special Interest Programming, for a 5 part series bilingual series titled “Sembrando el Futuro” (Seeding the Future) in New York City. Then, I joined Telemundo Network as Director of Network Programming (September 1987 – March 1994) based in New York City and later transfered to Miami, Florida. I then moved back to NYC to become the Vice President and Managing Director for USA Network Latin America (launched April, 1994) and Brazil May 1996) from March 1994 – April 2002. I was once again transfered to Miami to open the new headquarters offices in Coral Gable. In December 2002 I returned to Telemundo Network as Senior Vice President of Programming (December 2002 – December 2005). In October 2007 – April 2010) I joined Spanish Broadcasting System in Miami as Senior Vice President of Programming and Development for MEGA-TV. After my 3 year tenure with SBS and at that time in my career I decided to become an entrepreneur and developed a web site combining television and social media in one communityoflights.com The idea was to develop a multimedia process for connecting with subscribers across the world. Community of Lights, LLC was created in 2011 and it continues to the present with a YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@CommunityofLights with over 700 short form published videos. Matzo Tacos web site blog site was developed in April, 2021 based on a book I have been writting for some time also titled “Matzo Tacos.”
